I have the possibility to buy original under-seat subwoofer from Interscope system: http://goo.gl/2xgWBk. As I don't have Interscope system fitted I suppose I won't find any cable with connector under passengers seat?

How hard will it be to connect subwoofer to original radio when there is no wiring for it? Anyone has done that before and could share experience?

Its not worth it the sub is average at best, buy an aftermarket one, it will be a lot better.

Even if the cost will be only about 40£? From what I've read this ex-interscope sub has built-in amp. But still I don't know if I will be able to connect it...

Pretty sure my Grande Punto had subwoofer and amplifier combined in same unit. It was located on the boot rather than under seat. Is the 500 system different?

could be built in but I was under the impression there was a separate amp in one of the interior rear panels, could have this wrong though

When you have Interscope fitted there is separate amp in one of the interior rear panels as you mentioned but under-seat subwoofer has its own one.

Last week I looked up the wiring diagram for Interscope, it shows the sub running off the head unit and the regular speakers running off the amp?!

The diagram without Interscope shows no amp, just speakers running off the headunit.

So the sub is active, that makes sense, the op could plug n play then in theory
