anyone had this?
opened the passenger seat today to stow an item, as i closed it I the display beped and said something like 'airbag warning check manual'
turned off the ignition and turned back on again, message gone - anything to worry about?

And if you're going to do that, make sure the ignition is off while you're doing it!

That wouldn't necessarily deactivate airbags. Can't remember the exact procedure for the 500 but generally along the lines of disconnect battery and wait at least 10 minutes, IIRC.

The chances of setting the airbags off doing this are really non-existant, but these days you can't be too careful giving out advice.
