Welcome to the world of dualogic jokes! When it goes into neutral just move the shifter to the + position and you should go back in gear. It has happened to me many times and i just think the system is stupid and misses a gear now and then. Failing that, next time you get the car serviced, or asap if it really bothers you, make them do an ECU reset. But if no lights are coming on that may not do anything.

Mine sometimes goes into netural in auto mode when i am in 5th and smash the throttle to downshift automatically into 2nd but sometimes it misses the shift and goes Neutral, to which case i shift upwards to go back to gear, usually back to 5th.

thanks..
i had a real scare was on a dual carriage way when suddnly a car came in front of me and slowed diwn i was doing 60 and had to break.. the gear went to neurtal ... with heavy speed traffic behind me.... had to press hazard button come to a stop and switch off the car and start again...
i alway drive it on auto mode.. never tried the manual thing...
will try your suggestion... so even if the car is in high speed and comes to neutral on braking .. you can go to manual and increase the gears and it keep running.. is that what you mean to say?

i am seriuosly thinking of sellin the car and get another one... dont want to waste 1000 of pounds on repairing and all.

ive had a car do this to me in the past....

it used to do it radomly then it got progressively worse anyway i changed the oil in the gearbox and that seemed to cure the problem.

hope this helps

how much will that cost.. and should i go to the dealer for that...or a local garageman can do it

a local garage can do that for you,

im not saying this will fix the problem on your car but it could be worth ago, im sure someone on here will have other advice for you....

i cant give you an answer on how much it will cost as all garages have a different price list..

thanks..

yes the second this happens just pull the lever to the + sign you can still stay in auto mode and override the system you dont have to switch to manual. there is no need at all to turn off and on the engine, which is probably what made you to think that this is a big issue.

Once you are used to it you barely notice it, its like missing a gear in a manual. just go to + asap the second it goes to neutral and the whole thing wont last more than a few seconds.

This has happened to me at least 10 times, it is annoying, but manageable.

i dont think you need to do that. just keep on driving. i have had my dodgy dualogic for years now, i just got used to it. mine completely broke out of warranty and cost 400 GBP to fix but only take it to dealer if it breaks completely.
