That's very good, I only get about 50 on a motorway run, although I tend to criuse at an indicated 70-75. I had a business trip last week in a hired Fiesta with the 1.0 3-cyl turbo (100 bhp I think) and got 54mpg on the motorway. Smoother at low revs than my TA too - the only clue it had 3 cylinders not 4 was the noise it made when accelerating. An impressive car, but my 85 bhp TA feels peppier, and I prefer the character of the whole car to the Ford.

Finished off the tank today at 60.4 mpg, not bad considering I dident drive uber carefully although in Eco mode, late sixties easily achievable if I'd made a proper effort. The main contributing factor was non city driving on open country roads. Filled up again and decided I'd had enough of Eco so turned it off and had a good 20 mile blat home driving 'progressively' and still returned 51mpg! Car has 6400 on it now and it's really beginning to shine, Charlie you were on the money re the 7k run in period!!
