I think it is perhaps official, I have a problem.

I recently bought a Fiat Panda Pop as a cheap little "get to work" car to use alongside our 500L. Thing is as good as this car is (and it is very good - well made, nippy and fun) it just doesn't make me smile or feel good like a Fiat 500.

What's even worse is that this will be our 5th 500!!

I can't even tell you what it about the car that attracts me like Catnip!

When I see my reflection in the window driving the Panda I just feel Meh! I know, I know, the sensible people on here will be less impressed by that sentiment as the sensible side of me is well aware that my Panda is on 0% APR and only costs me £70 cpm. The 500 will be double that and have a 4.5% APR rate. But life really is too short.

I don't drink, smoke or take drugs - but I do keep buying 500's. We all have our vices - thing is mine is pretty expensive. LOL

So, I'll soon be the owner of a 500 Colour Therpay in Volare Blue, Chrome Kit, Dualogic and white side stripe. It feels like 2008 all over again. Butterflies in my stomach. Am I really 36????? Sometimes I think I'm more like a 10 year old :slayer:

Judge if you will (y)

PandaLounge, did you have another username before? I remember you but not 100% sure what your username was? Were you the person who had to get rid because of their ankle?

Life really is too short! 'specially if you don't drink, smoke or get high. Go for it, and to hell with what anyone thinks - that's what I did. I was driving a very 'sensible' and, it has to be said, boring little Japanese car; cheaper to buy and run than a 500 and with bulletproof reliability for 13 years but utterly soulless. I drove when I had to. Now I look for excuses to 'lace on the stringbacks' just to get out in the 500.

Hi Maxi

That's correct. Can't remember my previous name, might have been TechHouse something.

The 500 was indeed sold because of problems with my ankle. In the intervening period my partner had a Dualogic 500 (as they can't drive a manual) and I had no problems at all. Seems it's the position of the throttle and the lifting off when changing gears made my ankle much worse.

We traded in the 500 with my Evo for the 500L and quickly realised (plus we moved house and got further from work) that we needed two cars. So hence the Panda. Not a 500 though and a visit to the showroom and I was hooked again!

Becoming an expensive obsession this ;-)
