Hi, I'm after some advise please. I recently ordered a fiat 500c sport back in middle of March. I particularly liked the half leather seats in them.

However today I received a call from my dealer who has informed me that the factory have changed the design and style of the seats it will also come with the new TFT display which I have no got a problem with.

The problem is that I'm not really keen on the new seat design I have argued to the dealer it's not the seats I want and when the order was placed they was not available otherwise I would never go for them.

Where do I stand now, surely they can't change the spec of the car half way in production.

Fiat reserve the right to change the specification of the car at any time etc etc etc Sorry you're up sheet creek with turd for a paddle

Surely if you spend £40k on a car and they come out and say o no the leather seats you ordered are half leather now surely they would just loose sales in new cars.

The car is red I can't make out if the red bit on the seat is leather or not, and I can't seem to find any other photos or not

You can have ivory cloth if you're allergic to grey, I'd rather have grey than brown. I suspect for 99% of the market the seats being grey is no issue at all. The pop seats can be had with a vibrant red anyway......

Yes, I believe the factory regardless whether it's Fiat, BMW or Ford, reserves the right to change specs during manufacture. It's something that happens regularly as new designs and changes trickle through the model line-up. Sometimes people are pleasantly surprised by the changes eg new headlights or like yourself are disappointed. Your only option is to pull out of the deal if you can't live with the changes.

Are you sure they are not Leather? When I was sold my S it was a selling feature they were part Leather.

I am in a similar position. I wanted the TFT but not the new seats. I understand mine is a Mk2 which was only manufactured for one month with the 105hp TA before the Mk3 production started in April. The Mk2 has the old style dash and seats but I am happy with that. Mine is also red and I don't think the red on the new seats matches the red paintwork very well. I tried to change my order to have leather seats but was too late. However Fiat will be able to retrofit leather at the dealership when it arrives. You can chose what colour you want and the price is the same as it would have been for a factory order. But for now I am just going to stick with the d seats which I think look good, even if they have never been near a cow! What delivery date have you been given? I was told the Mk3 would not be delivered until 10-12 weeks after 1st April.

Whoa whoa whoa! Who has spun you this bs about Mk1's, Mk2's and Mk3's? There is only one version if the modern Panda based 500 up until now and there hasn't been a Mk2 as yet. Whoever has told you this is an idiot.
