Due to the appalling weather & commitments it's taken a while to get here but I've just passed the 600 mile since delivery in the 500 (1.2 pop dualogic) collected 2/1/14 so thought I'd report in.
Don't want to jinx myself but so far so good.
Fuel consumption (town plus short runs on dual carriageway) a shade under 50mpg.
Dualogic is nice n smooth although it does require an occasional nudge of manual override on steep hills. 95% of the time it gets the changes pretty much spot on.
No unnerving squeaks or rattles once spare wheel was properly tightened.

Despite the near constant deluge of rain & strong winds the interior is dry although there is very slight misting inside the headlights / tail lights from time to time.

I didn't spec hill holder but the car came with an excellent manual hill hold just between the front seats.

Controls are fine. I did notice the indicator self cancel could be better. Reverse sensors are a good addition & work well.

Driving & handling are as expected, agile & responsive but suspension is a bit 'firm' for our appalling bomb cratered roads. Nice comfy driving position & visibility is better than previous small Suzuki. The A pillars are a bit thicker & do slightly obscure some right hand corners. Demister is good & I'm impressed by the standard lighting on unlit rural & country roads.

Best part is still the huge grin whilst driving. I look forward the weather improving & actually getting to drive the car a bit more without it thinking it's a submarine.

Do you find that it sometimes cancels too early or at the wrong moment, e.g. you signal right and you enter a tight roundabout so you have to steer left slightly before turning right, and the signal cancels very early on (as soon as you move the steering wheel in the opposite direction to the turn signal)?

When I drove my sister's new Yaris I had this same problem, it's very annoying when turning at roundabouts -- I end up having to quickly flick the indicator again in the middle of the turn. Never experienced this in the old 1999 Corolla.

Definitely! (y)

Exactly but it applies to many other cars I've driven

All 500s do the indicator thing, I wonder if it'd work correctly on a roundabout in a country where they drive on the right.

They work how they're designed to work and they do it in both directions :) You get used to it.....

Nice report. I have done 10000kms and have a couple of things like the indicator... The reflection from the steering wheel mount up on to the dash readout is so frustrating in some lights that I drive with my fingers joined at top of the wheel so I can see my speed etc, the wipers hop all the time across the screen even after buying bosch ones, no cruise control. Other than these things it's been a great fun vehicle to get about in.
