Hi.. Anyone got the electric sunroof & would you recommend??

Yep have it on my new S, only have it a week though so hasent really got any real use!! It seems to be a good job. I did a fair bit of research before commiting, head room is always a concern as it eats in to it slightly but i'm 6'2" and it's fine. However if you are tall I would strongly recommend you source one and sit in it first to be sure.....I did. I've always had sunroofs and I also had an original 500 years ago so was keen for the car to have it. Sunroofs, be it fixed or electric do add a lot to the car in terms of light and a feeling of space and they look good externally too. So with limited use, yes I would recommend but check it first for head room.(y)

Thanks.. I'm 5"7 so headspace should be ok... Will give it some more thought I think...

We have the sunroof, my other car is a convertible so it's a must have for me! Husband is 6'3 and has no problem with head height, we do have the drivers seat right down though :)

It was a factory order when new (was my sisters car) 3 month wait just because of the roof!

I had this on my first 500 and I'm 5'7" and it was no problem. Gavr my friend a lift to the pub many times and he is over 6' with no problems.

I didn't really use it very often but I loved the glass roof and the fact it opened was an added bonus.

When I changed to the Abarth I was worried it didn't have the glass roof (as I bought a showroom car that time) and also had the dark headlining but I didn't miss it.

Think it's a shame you can't spec it on the 4x4 panda yet or I'd have gone for it again.

My wife's 500 has the sun roof and I find it does impinge on the head room (I'm 6' 3") and I have to put the seat back a little lower than I normally like it to accommodate it.

We live in South Africa and one problem we do have is the shade covering to stop the sun light. The sun still scorches us through it. We were just discussing today about getting a very dark window tinting put on it to try and stop us getting sunburnt whilst driving.
