OK when I purchased my A5oo I was skeptical about reverse sensors, especially on such a small car. However since I purchased the Giulietta I have gotten quite fond of them - so much so I am thinking about fitting some on my A5oo

Anyone fitted an aftermarket system recently ?? Experiences ?? Any recommendations for a OEM looking system ?? I want to avoid the chunky "tacked-on" look

Finally I read a while back that 5oo bumper has the factory locations embossed on the inside surface - anyone can confirm

Cheers

PS: Not interested in cheapo Ebay jobbies nor those drilless systems

...looks like I have found the supplier of the OEM system - MetaSystem

Been speaking with some ppl about this and they suggest a camera system ......I am not sure about their night time performance

Anyone could shed some light ?? (pun intended)

My wife has them on her Fiat 500. Not sure if they are aftermarket, they are colour coded with the bumper (electroclash).

However, they do tend to be slow to turn on if you know what I mean, I put it in reverse and am already in the space before the (beeps that tell you your in reverse finish)... saying that seem to work ok.

Sounds like they're faulty or not OEM. The OEM sensors on my Bravo work instantly.

I had reverse sensors fitted by dealership on my BNW TA. The car was new in showroom and did not have them.

The fit was fine and they were colour coded to the car paintwork. However, as the base material for the sensors were black plastic, I found the white paint applied to the sensors flaked off in places after a few months. This resulted in me having to constantly use touch up paint on them.

In hindsight I think they should have been left black.

I have a kit that I bought and never bothered getting fitted.
It's called valeo park n beep.

The kit includes fitting. You just call the number and they come to you to instal free of charge.

If your interested I'll put a classified advert up.
