My fiat 500 has a glow plug error on the dash so i sent it in to fiat to get fixed under warrenty. Which was complicated because warrenty said our warrenty dont cover glow plug until fiat argued the point. Then they told me one glow plug is stuck in engine so it needs new head. But as i didnt know the dpf wont work if glow plug error.

So whats the question

If your car is under warranty and you have a glow plug error on your dash and the dealer you've taken your car to have allegedly told you a glow plug is stuck in the head it isn't covered under warranty, then try another dealer.

I've had zero issues getting stuff fixed under warranty from a dealer thus far, from door handle to boot lid not opening to electric steering motor, so I don't really see what their issue would be.

Friday they admitted it was their fault and they would fix it but they said they will price it up on monday. But said needs new head seen a guy online who would remove glowplug for £50. I just gonna let fiat do it though under warrenty . I dunno how long it is going to take though allready been a week and they havent even started on car. :(

And with the car under warranty and if they have agreed to do the job, then let Fiat fix it. Whatever you do, don't let anyone else near the car to do the job because if something goes drastically wrong, then quite rightly, Fiat will probably tell you to do one. Not only that, why pay for the job when it can be fixed for free. I appreciate you are having to wait, but the dealer will have to get authorisation from a Fiat assessor to do the job and this has certainly been the case so far with my own car. Just be patient.

The only fix I've done myself to the car, was a split breather hose because it would have cost me more in fuel getting to and from the dealer than the fiver it cost me for new breather tubing (enough for two lengths if it splits again).

Yes you are right. I will carry on with fiat to fix it it does not really matter really they have given me a car to drive around in. Ah i dont understand how it all works at fiat. They said they wont give me it back untill everything is correct so i dont go back again and again. Just hope it dont take too long. Yeh only thing i have done it upgraded lights to hid as old ones was rubbish.

Oh dear, now I'm going to be more boring than I usually am - I take it you've informed your insurance company? After all, it is a modification from the factory fit and you wouldn't want to be caught out if you have an accident - would you?

Oh, and I find the factory installed lights perfectly adequate. I have absolutely no idea why people these days want to burn out the retinas of everyone else on the road, but I guess some people really do want to light up the road like Heathrow Runway Number 1 when they're driving at night lol!

The only thing better than those like you, going around without a care in the world for every other sod you're blinding is people like me, those with OEM Bi-Xenon HIDs who are not scared to give you a piece of your own medicine. My advantage is that as mine are legit and setup correctly so I see the look of horror on the face of the oncoming moron as the medicine is dished out ;)

For the sake of yourself, and everyone else, would be best for remove the illegal modification and fit some better filament bulbs (y)

I don't have any issue with BRIGHT lights, as long as they are set-up correctly:rolleyes:

drives me mad with the people who are clueless about the function of the lights on their cars:bang:

worst being pulling up on the WRONG side of the road with their dipped beam left on, ( quite often car is unattended.. VERY tempted to get in there and turn them OFF),
but I can't see well enough to safely pullover:eek: blinded by their lack of cut-off to the left = now the main carriageway

Mine are set up correctly no one has flashed or anything. I will check with garage but as far as i am aware their okay. I agree with the above pulling up wrong side of road. Also people dont indicate our days which annoys me.
