What's the latest in your case ? Did you ever find out the cause of the delay ? So it's an August delivery for you then?

We were originally told that a car that we wanted was on the schedule for delivery August 13. It didn't arrive and the salesman left the dealer. December was TFT next date given, that came and went and we were told they the car landed late December early January, I can't remember which. Early January we wet told the car docked and was at Prixcar. Then, Prixcar could not find it for a couple of weeks and finally I was called to say that the car has just arrived at the dealer. Fifteen mins later I am at the darker and I am being shown the car. As I walk round the corner and see the 500 for the first time I scream at the dealer, it's the wrong f*****g car. They order a new one, March build, delivery June and we are called in June to say they it will be the 2014 spec, but delivered August.

You have the patience of a saint !
I'd go the discount at pick up time...

Hi Bella, I am based in Bundaberg, Queensland. I am waiting for a car ordered in March 2014. I saw your story, and my gosh, I couldn't be as patient as you have been. My dealer told me it should arrive in Townsville or Brisbane port sometime in July. So fingers crossed.

No idea cause of delay. My dealers thinks he told me it would be July, which he didn't. I have a feeling he is just lying to me because i threatened to drop the sale. I have been told there is a delivery into either Townsville or Brisbane port and can expect that in July.

My fellow Aussies, in case you missed my other post, my looooong wait is over, after 9 months I will be collecting the car this week.
It's a white 500s, with sunroof and the upgrade pack. It has the 1.4 engine and a 6 sp manual. Looks great ?

Are any of you Australian members also involved with the Fiat Club of Victoria?

I'd be more interested in a 500 club myself.

Yeah I looked for specific 500 club here in SA but it appears to only cater for the original 500's.

I'm not really into Fiat's in general and I suspect a club would lean heavily toward the older vehicles and motorsport stuff so I reckon I'll give it a miss.

Maybe it's time to start a Nuovo 500 Club.....?

Yes I also wonder how we 'upstarts' would be treated- might be worth enquiring ...

Being a March build it would have been the last of the analogues. I think April cars have the TFT display. After waiting so long the last thing that worried me was the display.
I'll post more pics this weekend if I can get out of the car long enough!

I don't know much about this 'TFT' display but I daresay it could only be an improvement over the current digital one. Whether it would be any better in bright (or even not so bright) sunlight might be interesting however. My car has the ivory steering wheel and cowl and the reflection makes the display invisible in daylight. I even installed a little analogue clock so that at least I, and my passenger, can see how late I am. Of course it also means I don't have to turn the ignition on to see the time.

It gave much amusement to a couple of FIAT techs during the last warranty visit, that this idiot owner needs two clocks. They didn't know that their words were recorded for posterity by the dashcam ...

Hmmm... Never thought about the reflection issue, my wheel is black.
The TFT is a very slick display that shows speed numerically rather than on a dial. I personally prefer a dial...
Like the story about the techies ... Nice clock too!

Some decent sunglasseswill get rid of the reflection issue
