After attempting to answer a question on the Sat Nav section on the Tom Tom Live 2 for the Panda 2012 realised that the bundled price of £400 for the Techo Pack includes

- Blue & Me with USB & AUX
- Buttons on the standard steering for audio & B&Me
- 68R option port
- Tom Tom Live 2 Sat Nav !

Maybe someone can confirm if B&Me on the Panda 2012 cannot be ordered on its own.

Checking the price breakdown noticed that on the configurator on the 500 you can now get just the Leather Steering wheel with Audio control for £110 WITHOUT specifying B&Me for £270.

This means that on Pop models you should be able to retrofit the Leather steering wheel and one without the non functioning B&Me related buttons. Unsure if the audio buttons would work - it would depend how Fiat wired it. The lack of a 'cheap' fancy steering wheel has always been a bug bear of mine on the Pop.

There will be a number of Panda 2012 owners who will order the Techno pack and may not want the B&Me Tom Tom Live 2. I can envisage a few secondhand ones coming up on ebay over the coming months. I wonder is there a 'glut' of new ones in a warehouse and they are being off loaded as a package deal on the new Panda ?

Also from a previous thread there would appear to variations in quality on the B&Me. On the '09 500 the B&Me handsfree was poor quality and I found that callers complained that they had difficulty hearing me. Mic was changed but it didn't make that much difference. No problems on the current MiTo or the '08 500.

B&Me Voice control is 'hit & miss' for me and once ended up calling someone that I didn't want to speak to. Voice control on the Tom Tom Live 2 is pretty good - better in fact that the one on the B&Me and good for 'putting in' addresses but doesn't work for Google search . Heard great things about the Siri on the iphone4 and thinking that might be the way forward for making 'handsfree' telephone calls. :chin:

Also thinking of creating an AUX input using the redundant CD port so that the iphone comes the media centre. May be some leeway to use Siri here as well for handsfree.
