Hello, i have recently bought a fiat 500 Twinair and i was wondering if my doors should be automatically locking when i start driving as in my friends Fiat 500 Pop lock automatically.

Thanks in advance
Tom

I was hoping our soon to arrive 500 (lounge) had this feature as we've had it before on a Clio and a BMW and it is a very useful feature - good to hear it has.

The Clio from memory used to unlock the central locking as you turned the ignition off and the BMW needed 2 pulls on the internal door handle, what do you do in the 500 to unlock it after it's locked in this way..

Cheers guys..

You can turn the automatic door locking on by pressing the menu button on the console and scrolling through the options.

A very useful addition especially in this world where we cannot trust everyone!! If you feel vunerable at the lights ladies and gents:) then your doors are locked !! If your in a strange town city guys and girls then its added security!!:)

Yes please locked doors and closed windows!

Indeed - just checked my electronic PDF version of the manual...and it's now Autoclose

I've also seen it's from there that you turn the daylight running lights on or off - I had noticed some run with them on and some off but couldn't see till now how you did this.

Yup im with you on that, the majority of the 500's i see driving round here have them turned off. My have been on since the day i got it :slayer:

Yep, seems about 50/50 the ones I see. I'd love them to justify it when they're involved in an accident when not seen, makes it worse when I then see them in rain etc with no lights but hey ho :p

The car is too big not to be seen... in central yesterday evening around 8pm, taking a right turn i had to double take and stop as some d**k cycilist was coming down the hill at speed, dark clothes no lights front or back or any reflectors, but he still gave me a finger as if my fault... how much are a set of front and back lights for bikes these days a £10er !! (n)

The cars size has nothing to do with matters when it blends into the surrounding colour scheme of can't be seen due to poor weather conditions. Your not one who drives in pooring rain with no lights are you - I'm in a ton of metal, I'm to big not to be seen.
