As promised here is a 500 buyers guide/FAQ which I promised many many months ago. To be honest it's still mostly the one I did in October 2009 so there is a lot that's changed since then (twinair engine and spec) and with it being very rough there are things which may be wrong and there are silly things like the fact that I yammer on about tyre sizes before I talk about engines and spec levels which is just plain dumb! Thought I should get onto it today and at least start getting it right or else I'd never do it.

Need to put a lot more work into it but wanted a bit of feedback and most importantly, some photos of wheels and different colours. Any pictures of the different wheels, different options (leather, climate control etc etc) and also different colours would be more apreciated. At this point in time the only thing I've got pictures of is my own car and I think it would be a touch rude to go around the forum nicking people's photos if they don't want their car to be in my guide. So far I have pictures of the following options, BNW, a lounge, 16" multispokes, steel wheels, red leather, side rubbing strips and most importantly, winter tyres! :p . Any other pictures can go to the email address in the document (y) I'd rather not post it here or have anyone post it on here as I'll start getting spam then! Please try to make the pictures good ones which give as good a picture as possible of what the wheel or seats or whatever actually look like :)

Enjoy!

Daniel

Daniel, all my photos are in my gallery (1.3MJT Sport + TA Sport + A500) there are others in there as well and you have my permission to use any of them directly. If you prefer to have them emailed then PM me their details and I'll send them as attachments.

Oh! ..... and what kept you. :p

Just realised that I can click enlarge on the photos :p Plus your photos are of good quality so I can just use them as is without the need for silly high res pictures ;)

What kept me? Ermmmm it's all those job applications I'm filling in..... honest! :p

That's a pretty informative guide, which I'm sure will be useful for those venturing into 500 ownership, both new and 2nd hand.(y) Feel free to use any of my pics from both my old and my new 500s.

Feel free to use mine as well Maxi. You know where to get them. The back rear wheel doesn't have any scratches on it.:)

Lots of pics of my beast in there. Inc some of the first day I got her home with the shiny shiny 16" O spokes and wonderfully clean red leather :)

Really good guide, very informative! Feel free to use any of my pictures too :) I think theres some in my profile, in the garage bit where I've listed details of my car. Or I can send you some.

I think there might be room in the 'guide' for tasteful and useful modifcations.(y)

Tbh I don't really think it's wise to go down that road. The suspension is a problem and should be replaced, as for the rest of the car, well any modifications are really down to the individual and their needs.

Would it be possible to make this a sticky? I know it's not quite perfect at the moment but I guess it's better than nothing. I'll try to put a little bit of time towards it this week :)
