Seatbelt? Sorry missed that. What's up with the seatbelt?

No nothing. It just you said to push the seatbelt and then use a torx screw. Not sure what I'm to do with the seatbelt though. I'm Probably just being dumb x

Oh, sorry, predictive text on my ipad. Should have read, push the seat back to give you room to crawl under the dash. Get a torch and have a feel around, you'll see the two silver torx screws. Make sure you tighten rather than loosen. You don't want it to fall down one side.

Might be wise just to remove the earth terminal first, just in case.

Thank you. What a div, I could've worked that out actually.

Also, with regards to the noise under car when over speedbumps and the possibility this could be drop links, is that likely? I'd never heard of them before but supposedly they're common to go. Not sure why they weren't noticed on my mot though.

Not familiar with that type of mechanicals of the car. Many on here will be able to advise though.

This is what the strut looks like the drop link is in the plastic bag on the lower left, its a rod with a ball joint at each end that connects to the anti roll bar to help keep the car flat when going round a corner of the make a banging noise when failed going over bumps, grab hold of it and see if there's any play in either joint or even if one end has come right out, play probably would not have been noticed at mot but totally bust should have been.

Thank you. I'm hoping that's all it is and not anything major. My suspension and shock absorbers were on MOT and fixed so rules them out. Only advisory with the exhaust was the back box skin was corroded so rules that out too.

Will do that today. Loads of speedbumps en route to my nanas so I'll check then doing it to both sides. Nope, I've checked in my boot, checked my spare tyres completely screwed in tight. I have a bottle of de-iver and scraper behind the drivers seat but it's not that.

So it's fine when my left tyres on the speedbumps, but makes the noise when my drivers front tyre is on the bump.

With suspension components such as shocks/springs/droplinks, it's usually always more wise to replace both sides, especially if the car has done a lot of miles. I will never understand any mechanic who will replace a 'worn out shock' on one side of a car with for example 80k miles on the clock and not do the other side or recommend to the vehicle owner that both sides ought to be done. But of course, it's usually down to what the customer wants and can afford to pay, so whilst it's easy to criticise the decision to swap out only one side and completely ignore the possible safety implications and poor handling one would undoubtedly experience, it's understandable. Personally, I've always replaced in pairs.

Thank you. My shock absorbers were replaced in pairs on MOT. I think it was the wishbone that was only replaced as one? My cars only just done 38,000 miles, was 37,900 when it had its mot. So not huge mileage.

Hi, checked the screws tonight and all were as tight as they could be. Compared with my sisters Fiat 500 and she has her steering wheel lifted right up and the panel is so tight with no movement. Moved my steering wheel up and drove. Noise not as bad rattling but still slightly there. Not sure what else it could be

I wonder if it's a screw from the cowelling rattling around?

What's that? Still it stops when driving if I push in the plastic. Also another annoyance I noticed is where the dashboard ends just next to the steering wheel, and next to where the steering wheel adjustment lever is, the edge of mine and a few cm isn't pushed right against the plastic. It's on secure everywhere else so won't fall off, but my sisters is totally pushed together. Bad luck strikes for me afain
