Anybody use the special fiat 500 sat nav? I've been looking at a few after market sat navs and quite frankly i'm not impressed with the wires and suction thingy that goes on the windscreen. is the special fiat 500 sat nav any good or just a "good fit" with the 500?

Apparently the current one is a bit rubbish. There is a new Tom Tom one coming out for the GP Evo which should be compatible, I'd wait for this.

Fiat will introduce the new TomTom sat nav with the EVO but it will not be compatible with the 500, I mean from software perspective:D. There is a topic on the cinquecentisti.com and they said that Fiat will release a software update soon to make the 500 compatible with the new tomtom sat nav. But if you already have the sat nav preparation on your dashboard the software upgrade is the olny thing what you have to do before you start to use the new Tomtom sat nav.

Exactly why I said that people should leave someone else to test it first :) Being that B&M is based on Windows Mobile it should be a piece of **** for Fiat to make it compatible throughout the range but lets see if it actually works first ;) I'd put money on it working but I certainly won't be the person trying it out first :p

I have this and find it really good,it sits on the dash and gives clear instructions, great having no wires etc,it took me through central london a while back really well, avoiding the congestion charge so i recommend it.

Do you actually have the Tom Tom one we're talking about? I suspect not, as there hasn't been an update released for B&M to make it compatible with the 500.

I just got the Tom Tom white Pearl which matches my car, and i have it on a dashboard mount like this...

So u dont have to have anything on your windscreen
The one people are talking about in this thread actually mounts in the sat nav mount which is built into the dash as a no-cost option on 500's and is completely integrated with B&M :)
