Hi all,

Just been reading through some of the threads and this is an excellent forum! :D

Ive ordered a new 500 in the red a couple of weeks ago and its been going through my mind for a few days now do i call the dealers and get a white stripe fitted? Ive seen that i can get one after i received the car for less but was wondering what the quality of the stickers are from fiat?

Can anyone tell me if they're happy/disappointed with the stock stickers and is the extra £130 worth it?

Cheers :)

Hi we have a CCCAB with black sport stripes and they appear to be really good quality. They were factory applied and are nice and straight, no bubbles etc. The dealers can retrofit but am not sure if the quality is the same for straightness bubbles etc?

Plenty of companies on ebay offer sticker kits for the 500, but again I'm not sure about quality?

Hope this helps?

I original wanted a black 500 with the Italian stripes but personally I didn't rate them. It might be different with the one colour ones but they hadn't applies the Italian stripe well at all, and it was printed Vinyl as opposed to coloured vinyl (which made it look more dull)

I'd see if your local dealers have any in personally so you can make your own mind up. It is after all your car :)

Cheers for the quick response, I'm terrible at the best of times for making my mind up! Seen Cyberdogs red 500 and it looks great.

Not sure whether to go for the stripe or not. worried it'll fade or peel off when i clean it (still thinking a name for the car, seems to be the done thing!)

On the plus side if i go for the stripe i can find out how the car is getting on (not that im impatient! ;) )

Cheers again

I had the Italians stripes fitted to my 1.2 sport & then wished I'd not done & gone to one of the vehicle graphics sites instead & had a more individual version done which would have wrapped right round the back...

however I do have it fitted & it ssems to be as durable as the paint... no signs of fading or peeling at all!

Hi Jester,

I got mine off eBay and the quality is amazing. I have the checkered roof and the Abarth stripes with the words "FIAT 500" cut out on them. My car looks more sporty with that combination.

Here are a few pics (y)

Got mine from ebay - £20 odd a set. All three sets have been excellent quality (from the same seller) - basically I leave them on for a couple of months then change them:D

Genuine Fiat decals are the '3M Scotchcal' brand. I know this as I've got half of my Official side-stripe still on the 3M backing paper!

Re: the sticker quality, well my stripe was peeling on the corner near the door, but as its under warranty the stripe was replaced (y)

No problems with the quality of my Italian stripe which was dealer fitted. It started at the bonnet and finished at the front of the roof spoiler. I since extended the front a couple of inches and continued the rear up and over the roof spoiler and down the back.
