Stripes are peculiar, I tried all colours with and without stripes and my choice of black stripe looked great (to me), but only on BNW. Most other colours IMHO look better without any stripes at all but I do think the side rubbing strips look OK on all colours.

I think the Pasadoble red looks quite nice with white stripes :)

Yellow with black always looks good to me, but there are some colours that you shouldn't able to stripe for the love of humanity.

black and yellow always look good together, its a nature thing... bees, wasps etc. Nature usually gets thing right.

so what colours do you think shouldnt be striped? I think jive blue and red sport stripes would look :yuck:

I've just thought of a new cockerney rhyming slang for stripes... michaels!

I have red michaels on my BN white 500!

Hi

I think its the dealers that didn't given the retro colours a chance.
I hadn't seen many in the show rooms at all before chosing Humphrey,
and when questioned some reps say they had never seen them in the flesh and the ones that had said they were better in real life than they expected.

I'll have to take better of my Ye-Ye green from now on then... Mark how much are you charging for a good spit and polish?

I agree with you, our dealer had sold an Orange and raved about it, they were kind enough to put us in touch with it's owner so we could see it in the flesh.

No other dealer had even seen one in Orange or the other, now discontinued colours. What a shame they didn't take a punt on them, perhaps they would have sold even more.

You've missed out on another obvious pun, if you've got a dark car you can put Jack & Meg on it. (White Stripes! Ba-dum tish! I thank you!) (y)

You know every time I've written the words "white stripes" I've thought of the band... but unfortunately I know bob all about them, so I couldn't have punned it up. Now in my 40s I am becoming helplessly out of touch with modern culture. I'll be lamenting the demise of Terry and June next, and applying for insurance with no medical or salesman to call.

Well, Reggie Perrin is back, so you should feel right at home!!!!

Never can understand ebay pricing on some cars, I have seen second hand ones at over £1000 more than a brand new one with the same spec.

Always makes me laugh when I see things like BLUE&ME, Air Con, Alloys and many other standard features on Lounge and Sport models listed as EXTRAS.

Hi,
The dealer in Wigan told me at the weekend that there was a NEW (as in you can do scrappage on) YeYe Green with black leather showing on stock. I think he said it was deliverable from Gurnsey... he could have got it for me so don't see why your dealer won't be able to. I had my heart set on Punk Grey but I ordered a Red 500 today in honour of my red scrapper as couldn't get hold of one, and didn't like the interior (or cost) of the Diesel colours.
