Was looking under the 500 to see if I could find anything broken or loose that is making my interior shudder so much... nothing obvious:( However, I was shocked to see the rear calipers really badly corroding, and the backplate assembly they and the axle bolt to was really rusting, looked like part of the Titanic!

When I think our 125,000 mile and 13 year old Passat looked nearly like new underneath it does show that Fiat still need to up their game in places. Its not good for so few miles and nearly 7 months.
I know it wont rot away or anything, but that sort of thing doesnt inspire confidance.

Anyway, everything appears to be alright, so it must just be the fact the ride has loosened all the trim up... its really crashy and more like an 80s/90s Panda than a modern car.
Surprising how weedy the rear beam looks compared to the new KA too.

Done that, have loads of foam tape I might try and insulate stuff! Shouldnt have to do this on a new car, but its hardly a warranty claim is it, saying my interior is crashing about!!! I also wonder if the rear bumper was put back on right, maybe thats crashing about too?

Or, I could wear earplugs!

just turn up the stereo!

That just makes the entire rear end of the car rattle as badly as my old '94 Metro did! Infact, once I'd Dynamatted the front doors on my Metro, it had less rattles than my 500 even though it had a 12" sub in the boot.

So sound deadening is definitely on my list of things to do. I love dubstep so I've got to have some good bass somewhere, I tried listening to Burial on the standard stereo the other day and it felt like it was trying to destroy itself.
