It's probably in the manual ..... but i found out by accident today that the windows work even when the key isn't in the ignition, when you've parked up and turned engine off, they seem to work for a good few minutes afterwards.

I found this out as I let my son climb into the front of the car as we were early at the nursery this morning and took key out so though OK to let him press all the buttons ... big mistake as he was opening and closing the windows.

Thought I'd let you all know incase you didn't know this little feature and especially if you have children ;)

Aha - i'll try that out later when i pop out. thanks :) (is it in the manual by the way? I did actually get the manual out to turn the airbag off last week!)

Not sure, I found out by accident. I had noticed that you could still work the windows (but I don't think the auto close functions with ignition off) after switching off and was trying to explain it to my wife but in the meantime she had opened the door to get out. Of course then it didn't work and she looked at me as if I was stoopid or summit.

is it in the manual by the way?

Hi Heidi, page 45... "for about 2 minutes after positioning the key on STOP or removed".. Doesn't mention the one touch up not on passengers windows though  I wonder how many 500s are sold with Wind Up Windows ??

Merry Christmas
