500 Boot Size

Hi to all,
Just ordered or new 500. Hopefully wont take to long.

Am after some feedback on how you guys get on with the boot space with prams and all things children etc. As at some point in the near future we are looking to start a family.

Re: 500 Boot Size

The wife, oyr two daughters (3 & 6) & myself went to Guernsey for a 3week holiday in our 500, so I'd not worry about the boot size.

TKMax do some Pieere Cardin luggage that is a perfect fit too - http://www.fiatforum.com/500/155380-...re-cardin.html

Re: 500 Boot Size

I was worried too before ordering but my maclaren stroller fitted perfectly into the boot and doesn't move around which is good. I have a 2.5 year old and this is going to be the car I use for ferrying him to nursery, out for days and away for weekends and I can't see any problems at all with space. I'll let you know for definite on saturday when I pick it up!

The huge car seat we had when I ordered easily fitted onto the rear seat, but now we've got a booster seat it'll be more roomy.

Hope that helps.

Do you mind me asking which booster you're using for your <3 yr old?

Re: 500 Boot Size

Yeah, no probs: We bought the Graco Junior Plus Cherry Drop Hi Back Booster Seat (it says 4-12 years on the halfords site, but on the box says 3-11 years!) for £75. The hiback bit comes off when they are 6 years old so then just a booster base. Has cup holders too which are very handy.

He is 2 years 7 months but is 93cms in height and is 2.5 stone so as such is allowed into a booster for a 3 year old .... he's actually too big for a baby seat (the 9 months to 4 years) as he shoulders no longer fitted in - what happens when your parents are 6ft2 and 5ft8! It's legal so long as they are the minimum weight of 33lbs (which he easily is!). He loves his new seat - we used to have tantrums to get into the car but no longer, and he can climb in himself which will be a bonus in the back of the 500 and only 3 doors!
