Started the car at work and the bloomin mileage started flashing at me, turned the phone off and it stopped flashing. So, guessing my Blue thingy has gone belly up a bit. Think I wont bother with that any more... in 1200 miles Ive had a flat battery for no reason, 3rd gear that sometimes grates a little and now this, I hope the wee thing will last the 3 or 4 years I intend to keep him:)

Back to the dealers then, and i hope it lasts (y)
 
No point, the flashing mileage has stopped, the gearbox only does it now and then and the battery hasnt flattened since.... yet! So, if I take it in they will say, we couldnt find any faults:)
So, I will wait till the 3rd gear disintegrates, the battery dies again and generally the car dies... thats how dealers work!
TBH, Im not fussed with Blue and Me anyway and I can live with a slightly notchy 3rd gear, I hate going into dealers for warranty work as its always hassle and wasted journeys, much better to live with little issues till its first service.

I wouldn't let it stop you using the phone(B&M) the phone being switched off and the flashing mileage stopping is probably just coincidence as the flashing does not appear to last long from other users experience.
 
The B&M has been acting a bit starnge of late anyway, tbh I dont use my phone much anyhow so not totally bothered. Im just hoping the battery issue was a one off. Left it over the weekend and it was fine... started brilliantly.
 
The flashing mileage has happened to me twice over the last 2 weeks but has stopped as soon as I turn the engine off and then on again. I rang the garage and they said to take it in next week to see if I can get a software upgrade... Should I be worried even if it has stopped?
 
I had it flashing from time to time, even had proxy alignment done and it did it twice since. Now trying to start the car properly (as suggested somewhere here): MAR postition, then whait for all the lights to go off and THEN switch the engine on. Apparently starting the engine straight away can 'confuse' the CAN and it makes the mileage flash. Will see, and keep you posted....

Thats the true FIAT spirit! Only go to the dealer when the gaffer tape finally stops working, LOL

But seriously Barry, you've had no luck with 2 of the wee buggers now. Not fancy flogging and tracking down the panda again?

Flash flash flash goes the mileage!

Driving my 500 for the 3 day today and the mileage flashed at me and was flashing the whole way to work. I pulled over and fiddled and pressed the menu button and then it seemed to stop. It hasn't done it since. Hope it doesn't do it again or it will be back to the dealers for re-alignment! How annoying...makes me feel sad for the little 500. Obviously there is a fault somewhere but he can't tell me where. Maybe he just got a little cold with all the rain?

Anyone else encounter any flashers?
 
Mine did it again today :( I've booked it in to my local dealers on Thursday. The car actually felt weird when it was flashing, I hope it hasn't done any damage to it.

I've had flashing mileage twice now - but only in the mornings. It lasts the whole journey and happened once with B & Me and once without. The garage didn't know what it was. I'm following it up.
