| Factory fitted alarm When I bought my 500, I asked about a factory fitted alarm. I wanted factory fitted as in my experience, those fitted by dealers have cheap looking sensors, and the panels removed never seem to fit back quite as they were. Anyway, dealer didn't have the price when I placed my order, but let me know when I rang a week later. I added the alarm to my order. When I picked up the car, the alarm was dealer fit! Yes the sensors look crap, spoil the clean interior, the panels don't quite align, the car was covered in dirty marks for which I produced a 20+ item snag list! added to this I have a pathetic little cheapo red light mounted to the side of the gearstick. Not wanting to reject the car, I took it and got used to the tat. Does anyone know if a factory fit alarm is actually available? Too late for me now, but I can at least do a bit of dealer bashing! I know the imobiliser is part of the spec, but where I live, security is a big issue.
