(G) Good news re delivery times (hopefully)

My 1.2 lounge (standard cept for side strip and sunroof) was ordered end of April (via broker, rather than dealer, as P/Ex was better). Been told just that dealer is estimating to have the car by late June.
The end is nigh (maybe)

looks like it should be in the same boat as mine ordered 19th of April (from dealer) has to come in the next 4 weeks!!
Fingers crossed i cannot wait anymore!!!

You're all pretty impatient... I ordered my 500 in December and it still hasn't arrived...

According to the dealer it now in the country (Australia) so I should have it next week. I'm trying not to get too excited though - about four weeks ago they told me it was sitting at the dock only to two weeks later (after I chased them) tell me that it wasn't on the ship they expected

ordered ours on the 23 feb and took delivery on the 1st june could have had it on 28th may but waited to get an extra months tax. it was a full on factory order with 16"wheels, climate cont, interscope hifi, full chrome kit, side rubbing strips, rear head rests. realy happy with it, might even buy another one from stock though couldn't wait another 12+ weeks

Picked mine up on 31/05/08 didn't think that £3.00, 1/12th of £35 (£30 next year) was worth quibbling about.

Actually, I lie, the tax on my car I was P/Exing ran out on the 31st so didn't really have a choice other than asking the dealer to be open at midnight.

i never realised what a tight git i am my tax disc says £38.50 not 35

Mine's the same £38.50. I didn't know if there was a £3.50 (10%) charge for it being a first registration or something similar.

ps. I don't think you're tight, as I said, if my other tax hadn't run out on the day I would have waited as well.

We're just careful that's all.

I ordered it from newcar4me on t'internet. Doing the deal was dead straightforward in terms of finance and PX - more than could be said for the dealers that took about 10 days to work out a PX due to the long delivery time (an excuse to shaft you on the PX?) and then came up with a figure several hundred below the above. I also get fed up with dealers trying to mislead over APR and flat rates and generally thinking customers are stupid and can't work out an APR. They (nc4me) just order the car from their local dealer I gather, Stockport I think. The proof of the pudding however...

Next thing you know they'll tell you "Sorry mate your car won't be ready until next year at the earliest because *insert lame excuse here*"
