Preparing for a new 500!

my new 500 is here
picking up on weds hopefully! loads of pics to follow (should i start a member's motors thread or keep it here?)

i'm fully prepared,
got screen wash and a window sticker off my mate, i've converted all my music to mp3 (which took a while as i buy everything off itunes) a memory stick, and the tricolore keyring (£3 from dealer)

anything i missed? how did you prepare for your new car/how are you preparing?

Excellent news Beep! You seem well prepared. But - start doing some facial exercises - or you will have face ache from grinning so much. Hope all goes well on the day.. keep us posted.

Re: Preparing for a new 500!

this car is AMAZING! will post pics soon

i called him Bob from B08 on the reg plate

drove past a mini driver yesterday and he gave me the fingers and did the thing, was well offended! but proof that 500 is annoying MINI drivers, i just laughed considering he probably spent £5000 trillion on his convertible MINI.

had flashing mileage this morning but restarted and it's fine

i really want to start a hidden features thread!
the loop to pull the boot closed
obviously the document drawer
i can't think of any more now but i'm sure i will think of more
does the rear wiper come on in reverse when the front ones are on? i'll check.

the 1.2 is looseing up nicely, covered 450 miles so far and i can feel it changing already

the white is an absolute bug magnet! but no problem coz i can't wait to clean it!

and it's not a car for the shy retiring person, it gets so much attention & it makes people happy! everyone that notices the car gets a big smile on their face! i love it!

the 15 inch diamond-finish sport wheels are stunning, probably one of the best parts of the car

standard sport seats are incredibly comfy, and half leather! (i didn't know that ) but i can't find my under seat storage

interscope is FAN-TAS-TIC! crank up the bass level for boy racer effect, and volume to anything over 10 is sure to make your ears happy (and your spine - the seats vibrate!)

so apart from one tosser of a mini driver, an excellent one and a half days with the 500!

450 miles in 1.5 days my white one is also a favorite with bugs, alive and dead !! check the "sport interior" thread regarding the underseat storage

Re: Preparing for a new 500!

Unfortunately your half-leather seats are half-plastic, but they still look good & very comfortable.

I've seen so many dealers advertising these as half-leather, don't they check their own brochures?

Congrats on the new motor

I had this bloody Mini converible driver come into the shop today asking if I could pair up the mini to her new blackberry that she bought from one of our competitors (I'm nearly sure she said 'Blueberry' but she was blonde...) and I when out and did the link but before I did I said that I had to go get a bag to put over my head as I couldn't be seen dead in a mustard convertible mini cooper!

Don't think she took it too well... LOL

Re: Preparing for a new 500!

The only mini I would ever drive is the cooper s but with extras would be like £18000.
