Drivers mirror adjustment - blind spot bad

Just got my car on Friday and thought it was just me at first but today on the motorway, I noticed that the drivers side mirror doesnt seem to move out far enough - the problem I have is that the outer edge of the glass is touching the inside edge of the plastic casing.

The passenger mirror has plenty of space around it, so I think it is back to the dealers, or need a blind spot mirror, but I cannot believe it has been designed in this way, surely it should be something that euroncap should check?

Anyone else have this problem? I know th GP we have doesnt have this issue and the Panda I had before was fine as well.

Sounds like the glass is out of alignment.

Cheers

Re: Drivers mirror adjustment - blind spot bad

Just to update everyone, the garage looked at it whilst I looked at another in the showroom, which confirmed the problem was the glass alignment.

Anyway, they said, no problem, we will order a new one, to which I enquired how long it would be as there was a safety issue in my view. Anyway, lo and behold, they checked, had one in and fitted it there and then, so all fine now.

Better service than I expected really, from Warrington Fiat. Maybe things are improving with the dealers!
