Just a thought -

I was thinking about a few mods to the sound system, a bit like Mark has been doing. Normally, when working on any part of a car electrical system, I would disconnect the battery terminal first, just in case. But it would seem that on these modern cars there might be all sorts of problems as a result. Could anyone advise - if I disconnect the battery

• Will I have to reset the radio key code?
• Will I lose the time/date and other settings on the dash menu?
• And will it do an ECU reset (which might or might not matter)?

3 Only if disconnected long enough then it should just be a case of starting it and letting it idle for 5-10 minutes then you'll be good to go.

I wouldn't bother to be honest, the electrical system is dead in the areas you will be working once the key is out
