Dpf

There is an issue with Diesel Particulate Filters on other cars using the Fiat engine. It can clog up if not driven hard enough. Hardly likely to be a problem with a Fiat, Italian tuning will keep it clean, but be aware.

Cheers

Re: Dpf

Yeah hopefully won't become a problem if they are driven the way they should be ( like an Italian.).

Was advised by a Fiat technical consultant that although the dpf requires a bit of a hard drive in order to self regenerate, it's something that does not need to be done all the time.

So all you diesel drivers have to do is occasionally maybe say once a week or two is give it some beans for a wee while.

Suzuki have just specified the 1.3 Fiat unit for the Splash. A town car to be driven by little old people. mmmm, can see that being a problem or 6.

Cheers
