(G) Delivery times for the new 500!!

Hello everybody, I have been reading here and there about different deliveries times for the new 500, I have ordered mine 3 week ago and been told by the dealer to expect the car within 12 week, but I got not to much hope; by the way my question is, some of us here already had their car delivered
how long did it take for you from order to delivery date?
and for the one who ordered and waiting for delivery how long are you waiting now?
and last one, how many months did the dealer quote you on the delivery time? and was is correct or completely out of his mind?
well as you could imagine I cannot wait for my car but I would like to put my heart to rest and have an idea of how long I really have to wait.

I was quoted 16 weeks back in late Jan and my car arrived in 12 weeks.
The dealer didn't tell me when my car was due to arrive and just rand up to say that it had arrived. Had to sort out finance and insurance pronto.

Thankfully I have a flexible mortgage!

The car is worth the wait though. Still smiling

My car is a 1.4 lounge with red leather, 16" wheels and a few minor extras. I've been told that opening sunroofs can add upto a month!

I was at my local dealer today and was quoted 10 weeks for the 1.2 POP. I suppose it'll come down to your requested spec as well.

My niece was quoted 6 weeks, and thats been extended by another 8 weeks!

At the moment 12 weeks is a minimum for a Pop with any engine (boy did Fiat ever get the anticipated demand for that model wrong! ) and about right for a 1.2 Sport or Lounge.

A 1.3/1.4 Sport or Lounge should be quicker, as there is unsold production capacity for both, so expect to wait 10-12 weeks.

You guys are lucky with those delivery times. Where i live i have to wait about 5-7 months for my 1.2 lounge dualogic.

See, I said it was the intelligent choice, but no one listened.

mines been 13 weeks with around another 4 to go for a 1.3 lounge (the best one!)

my 1.2 sport is taking 9 weeks in total

they're building next week, which will be the 5th week of waiting, then they say it will take 4 weeks after that, so 9 weeks! and it's going quicker than i imagined

ordered mine 21st march, been told it will be here this month sometime but not sure when, i think it will take a little longer though. Was originally quoted june when I ordered it.

our 1.2 sport was ordered 20th feb with everything exept leather and the bodykit it has leaft the factory and is due on the 29th may

Quoted 12 weeks for my 1.2 pop, and its looking like its going to be that too.

1.4 16v Sport - 94 + 5 In Transit
1.3 MJet Sport - 63 + 12 In Transit

1.2 Lounge - 0 + 5 In Transit
1.4 16v Lounge - 91 + 8 In Transit
1.3 MJet Lounge - 12 + 10 In Transit

That's a total of 463 unsold available for the whole of the UK.

Thats not many really is it, imagine how many unsold Fiestas there must be Good to see not many 1.3 Lounges available, makes my wait seem fair
