i was looking at the ipod connection kit and just wondered how it gets fitted in or would i have to fit it (not a problem). does it make a USB port appear or is this only blue & me?

if no usb, where does the ipod plug into?

Cheers (y)

I bought this kit for my Grande Punto and it was the same kit that fits the 500. It plugs into the back of the head unit and a cable runs from the back into the footwell or by the gear stick. The cable has an iPod connecter on end and the steering wheel controls control the iPod. The usb is only on the B&M specced models.

Hope that helps.

cheers, thats very helpful. :) gonna go speak to the dealer about it in a few weeks to get it ordered

Have just been informed by my dealer that the latest generation iPods are non compatible with the non B&M connection kit.

Can anyone shed any light on a possible upgrade/fix for this?

Not sure about this 'cos the B&M USB port doesn't recognise my ipod Touch. I've resorted to an 8GB pen drive but would love to get the touch connected. Anyone any ideas as to how/if it can be made to work with the B7M USB port???

............. DTPnorfolk; what ver/generation iPod are you using?

Have you tried (cough(n)) formatting it as a windows device then using it if you use it on a mac?

See my posts in bluetooth forum: formatting it as windows device allows my older ipod to be synced on mac and used with Blue&Me BUT no playlists.

Using it as a storage device and putting playlists in folders on the ipod allows more organisation.

Good luck!
