(G) Changing spec question

Having ordered a lounge just before launch I've already changed the spec (please note it's a Funk White so won't be ready until late 2008) and have been told that each time I change the order it's like putting in a new car order with Fiat.

Is this true or is it dealer incompetence ?

I'm now tempted to add the upgraded audio system but don't want to really risk pushing my order even further back to 2009.

Any ideas ??

whats wrong with bossa nova white? i cant see much differnce from the website, except for the cost + time.

It is dependant on the changes in spec. As your is a Funk White I wouldn't have though there were many options that would delay your order further.

Depends on the status of your order when you make the changes.

Photos don't show the difference. They are massively different colours in the flesh.

Your car is a firm order with Fiat, it goes through various stages before being built... heavy variability, light variability then fixed for production. Dont see how it could be like putting in a new order, unless you specify something else that may lengthen the wait?
