(G) Help...our pops not coming

Thanks for the advice. I know you are right. He thinks if he can get me back into the showroom he will get a sale, so every time he rings and tells me a load of **** I do the same back.Last time I told him I'd ring Fiat director I knew at Fiat Slough regarding his latest special offer and see if they thought it a good deal.


Yoshi got an upgrade pop to lounge and my sales guy (not Vosprs)can prob do the same for me.Before he was offering me optional extras thrown in for nothing, which I didn't want, now its an upgrade lounge or sport at pop price.Chances of me getting a bigger engine too for nowt extra is a big fat zero and I know that.

In the end I'll be going to a dealer that doesnt treat me like an idiot
Respect to Yoshi for gettin a good deal, in the end (a few weeks? several months?)maybe lots of buyers will be offered that sort of deal instead of actually discounted prices.

Go to your dealer nuovapanda, tell him you want a sport or lounge for the price of a Pop and that you tripped up on a lump of gravel on their forecourt while comin in to the showroom.

As compo tell them U want a 500 sport or lounge for the price of a Pop.U know what U might get it. This great deal i am offered was cos they said theyd mucked me about with forgetting the test drive appt. They hadnt really,but the guy says he can do a special deal cos of it (upgrade of trim or engine but not both, saving me 1400 quid as recompense, but mustnt tell everyone.

Its just cr%p to get me back to the showroom and a way of giving me a discount without it looking like a discount. Price of my part ex prob gone down a tad since before this offer.

I will be going somewhere they dont have so many tricks up their sleeve.

Ms Cinq - it's all bullsh!t. There is absolutely no way you will get a 1.3/1.4 Sport/Lounge for the price of a 1.2 Pop. Being 'messed around' because of a test drive is hardly the same thing as a dealer ordering a completely wrong car and then having to make you wait a further 3-4 months for the new one to arrive

Jeeeez Ms Cinq we are now 5 weeks from ordering our 1st car and through no fault of our own Vospers/fiat messed up our order. Then promised another only to find out it was'nt actually available. Multiple cock ups (which lessons have been learnt from) none of my doing.

If I was given a choice now of either pick up our pop in the next 2 weeks with the lovely red/black interior or have to wait for 3 months then I would have to say I would sod the wait and let me have our pop.

I had to put my sensible head on and for other personal reasons the june (ish) delivery suited us so went for the 2nd option.

I wanted to share my 500 expierences with like minded people with all the highs n lows of ordering, owning and running a 500. That included letting people know what was going on when things went t*ts up. If I thought by my postings I was undermining the good work fiat, the new 500 & the dealerships are doing then I would of kept my mouth shut.

I think Ms Cinq that you are just talking rubbish yourself.... youve been on here for ages saying about getting a deal and now someone has supposedly offered you £1400 off list, youre not taking it... probably because you dreamt the offer up No one has managed a deal yet, I cant even get mats thrown in. If you can get that much off a 500 then take it, if youre not youll never buy one, simple as that.

Anyone with an IQ over 5 can see straight through her constantly slagging off dealerships and their staff as nothing more than just petty and pointless.

I do wonder, though, how long the dealership staff that post on here will continue to do so with the constant put-downs?

Yoshis case involves a very serious administrative error. One which could quite have easily have caused the car to be rejected by the customer. It is in these extreme situations where dealer can if deemed necessary, Offer gestures of goodwill.

Car is rejected customer might not buy from dealer or Fiat again.
Failed releationship

Dealer and Fiat go out of their way to help resolve situation. Customer still buys a car and is happy with the idea of buying again in the future.
