General Digital Radio

It's a standard RDS FM / AM radio - no DAB digital I'm afraid. However don't worry, analogue radio is going to continue for many years to come. It's not like analogue terrestrial TV which is being phased out over the next couple of years :)

DAB is the future. Here in Norway we have a lot of new stations who only is available on DAB. For the last 3 years I have had a DAB player in my old VW…

DAB definitely IS the future....interesting question by Littalia, I would certainly be interested in retrofitting a DAB sooner rather than later so long as it didn't mess my warranty or damage my trim or electrics!!!:slayer:

You can indeed get something like a Revo DAB radio which can be added to the exsiting radio.

DAB is indeed the future, however FM is going to be around a long time after the analogue television signal is switched off.

Was listening on the radio that the other day that DAB hasnt taken off in the UK like they hoped, and its future might acutally be in doubt. Then they went onto mention something called DAB-2, which is rumored to be replacing DAB. Im a noob on this and no diddly squat. So please dont quote me :D

Cool, not to worry then. Good, my brain is about to melt with all these possibilities and consideratiiuwhiqdqd.......

You're right there. It was on the news last night that DAB may not be the future, as despite 6 million DAB radios being sold only 10% of radio is listened to via DAB. One of the big Radio Networks, can't remember who, has just shut down two digital stations as they were not viable.
