I have rung around and quite a few fiat dealers have either sold or are selling their demo and showroom 500s and customers have either already collected them or are collecting them in the next week or two rather than join the waiting list for a car.

Fiat wanted them to keep these cars 3 months but they have ignored that and done what the customer wants for a change not what Fiat Uk wants.Fiat reckoned they didn't know when I rang them, now they say they are aware of whats happening.

The woman in front of me bought the cha cha blue diesel from Stoneacre Doncaster this morning and collects it in a week. Lucky lucky lady..

f you buy a showroom car unreg like this you get 1st name on the log book, no disadvantages, but the advantage is that you get a car now rather than waiting? She's having it next weekend. (That's how they sold it to her anyway) There's been a few bums on the seats already but it sounded she was doing good to me instead of waiting if she wants light blue diesel anyway.:yum:

If you buy a demo car, you get 2nd name on the reg documents but does that matter when you sell it, if it's the Fiat dealer who had it before you?

Quite a few say theyll sell their red sport, delivery immediately if anyone is interested.

Bit more difficult if you want the Lounge model immediate delivery.Only a couple of people selling their 1.4 white lounge which they have either collected already (luccanino) or can be collected/registered now. Seems the dealers are les keen to get rid o their white lounge, would rather turn the blue diesel or red sport into cash.

Would anyone buy their 500 now like this instead of waiting weeks.

.

Is it a goo d thing to buy one of these

Seems qite popular, the dealer in Harlow sold their Cha Cha Cha 1.3 Lounge a few days ago. They have the 1.4 White Lounge on the sales floor and the 1.4 Sport as the demo.

What if poeple want to test-drive the 1.3 diesel, they cant now can they, doesnt make sense to me :confused:

What can Fiat do?
Apart from fining them for failing demonstrator standards (likely) or stopping the 'offending' dealerships from having any more 500s (already threatened, but I think we all know unlikely) not much.

Assuming the fines are less then the profit made on the cars that are sold early, it's worth doing (for them, not for the customers that paid list price for a registered car). If the fines are more, what was the point in doing it?

I'm sure Fiat will not bother with those dealer ships that sell them, as there must be more on the way to the UK now, they may even have Fiat blessing if the order numbers have been more than expected. If they were like Ford or Vauxhall dealers then things may have been different, as I think these two are more centrally controlled by UK head office.
