The 500 weighs less then the Panda 100 and the MK2B Sporting and has slightly more power so why is the the 0-60 more it just dont make sense to me.
 
Yep, been there, done that and discussed drag coefficients, gear ratios, weights and the rest of it.

I've put it to rest and decided on a more Zen approach - just accept it, order the car, and revel in the joy that is the 500!

yep, best way - just try to forget you're paying substantially more for a slower car on the same platform ;)
 
Ah, but it's not slower - it gets to the same speed, just takes a little longer to get there; it's classy you see - likes you to have a chance to enjoy the 0 - 60 process, not like these 'wham, bam, thank you ma'am' cars with a ridiculously quick acceleration; it's a car that likes dinner and a dance first.

Good one but I dont think most men and women see it the same way. Women want the dinner and the dance, whereas for men its 'wham bam thank you mam', ie, the faster the better (y);)
