It is bringing people back into the showrooms and getting them looking at the new range.

The 500 is good news for the Fiat brand as a whole.

Couldn't agree more! This has been a thought of mine for a while. The 500 will be a great hook for getting people into Fiat showrooms. It will obviously sell well in it's own right but, and without dismissing it at all, potential buyers will get to see the Grande Punto and Bravo up close and see them for the great cars that they are. I personally feel that the GP especially has been under rated by many simply because it has 'Punto' in the name and it's faced a prejudgemental public head on....so they go for a 207 or Clio. Big mistake that could of been avoided!!:)

Salesman at Telford showroom told me they're working to a £300 margin on the 500 as set by head office which he says is unprecedented for Fiat.. Also told me that dealers cannot sell their demos for 3 months after launch date..

of course they are, pre-reg cars and demo cars stay always stay within the showroom walls for a whole 3 months....

I cant believe the 300 margin thing, especially when some showrooms are already discounting them 300.
Still, who knows

Aberdeen Fiat (Arnold Clark) are advertising a MJ Lounge and a 1.4 Sport as available now

Does the advert actually say 'available now' or are they just advertising them?

Loads of dealers advertise demonstrators as soon as they are registered, but when you enquire about them you're told they're not actually available until they're three months old.

If arny clark can sell theirs then others can too surely or do they have their own rules up there in aberdeen?

They can sell it but when do you think you can take delivery?
The General Manager up their is a very clever guy. Nothing he will be doing will upset Fiat and he won't be lying either. I'm sure a very careful reading of the wording of the advert that has been made will show. ;)

Dundee has sold their white Lounge. Customer won't be getting it for a while tho. :)

Arnold Clark are a notorious dealer chain in Scotland and never do anything right:)

Uncalled for! :(
We have to be doing something right or over 70% of cars bought from a dealer in Scotland wouldn't be bought from Uncle Arnold. :p
