Hi, 2012 500 pop. Most of instruments out and brakes. I replace fuse and it works until it blows within an hour. Is this a faulty brake switch? Help!

I've tracked it down to the high level brake light loom, tied to the hinge mechanism in the folding roof. At a certain position of opening, applying the brake pops the brake light fuse, which also powers all the instrument displays on the dashboard and direction indicators. Now I've just got to find where exactly that loom is frayed and decide how best to fix it. Has anyone else found, over the last few years, which bend is the culprit?

There is a wire that runs up the c pillar on the left,as your sitting in the car. Your remove a plastic trim, then move the material flap to one side. Your have to lower the roof slightly for some slack. It should be obvious where the wire is getting trapped. I had to solder an extension on mine because a previous repairer had cut it shorter. There was only the supply for the third light there so only two wires.
