i have a 2013 fiat 500 cabriolet and the whole floor area is soaking wet, what could be causing this, PLEASE HELP

Three main possibilities:

1. There is a leak somewhere which is allowing water from outside to get inside the car. On a hardtop, the windscreen glass and the area around the rear bumper attacment points are the two most likely areas to check, but on a ragtop, there are many more possibilities. The key feature in all of these is that it is more noticeable after rain.

2. The A/C drain is blocked, allowing condensate from the air conditioning unit to collect in the cabin.

3. A pipe has split in the windscreen washer circuit, most likely the one to the rear screen.

hi,:)
use some white paper towel to soak some..,
does it have colour/ smell..??

rainwater = clear ,
condensate = clear

coolant = colour AND smell / odour

screenwash fluid = (probably)..colour and small

have a look ,
let us know, (y)

Well spotted; that's a fourth possible cause - a leak in the coolant circuit somewhere in the passenger compartment, most likely the heater matrix or its pipe connections. Not common but by no means unheard of.

Probably the most expensive to fix of the possible causes (getting access to the heater box is a nightmare job on the 500), so fingers crossed for the OP that it isn't this.

Might be a stupid question but has the car been subject to extreme rain recently?
Is it wetter in one area more than the rest? anything in the boot area, are there any leaves chocking the drains under the windscreen/under the bonnet?
have you cycled the roof to ensure its properly closed ?
