power socket doesnt work - replaced fuse - still doesnt work - is it easy to replace
 
There's a few screws holding the handbrake surround on. Once that's been removed it's straight forward. There's a few guides knocking about that'll show you. The guide I used was for a European 500 although I imagine they're quite similar.

I opened mine up about a week after I got the car and patched in a second power point. Cables coming from the original cigarette lighter were getting in the way.

If you have a meter, check if there's a live to the centre contact and check the earth to body outside of holder to a suitable good earth point remembering it's only live when engine "running" only then pull up the trim to see if the connector has fallen off perhaps?
Also look to see there's not a 1/5p in the base of the opening!
