Hi, and welcome,
are you 100% confident you are not applying the "parking lights"..

so - is it 2 x BRIGHT front lights, the 2 x RED rear lights, and the licenceplate lights also..??

Re: Headlights on, itnition off

Status lamp on instrument cluster correctly follows light switch. Clearance lights extinguish as they should headlamps remain powered no matter the state of the ignition and headlamp switches. Disruption of power via the main 60A fuse and the 20A fuse above it in the correct order will result in lamps out until key on. This rules out stuck relays.

So just to clarify ONLY the head lights are on and no other lights at all, like the running lights (front) say?
If yes then the relay is getting a "switch on" feed from somewhere, pulling the fuse does NOT rule out a stuck relay it only cuts the switched supply if there is another of the same type try swapping it and see what happens.
How old is the car, there's always the hatch wiring

to quote = Follow me is off, headlights only no marker lights.

IF it's NOT affecting the rear lights.. then I'd say the actual indicator stalks light function is fine.

either a wiring / CANBUS issue ,
or a bad relay.

if it's in warranty try a Dealer,

otherwise - get MultiECUScan ordered and switch the various modes on and off in the Car,
Charlie

Re: Headlights on, itnition off

The issue is the BCM, however, purchasing a new one only will yield in a pissed off local CFO. You will have to still go to a dealership to haveyour 290.00 brick programmed while electrically in your car. The offending device is on the upper deck board of thE BCM (the pcb that houses the fuse holders). It is impossible so seperate the board stack as the headers are press fit. This serves to prevent someone with a EEE background from effecting a repair. This affair only strengthens an ever growing distrust of large corporations whom view you as a money bearing fool in an ever circulating pool of fools.

Re: Headlights on, itnition off

If the front lights are your only issue then two/3 relays would overcome the issue costing very little, one cuts the supply when "off" the other restores it only when the rear marker lights are on and the ignition.
Any half be decent auto electrician could hook it up, yes it's a compromise but is much cheaper.
