Hi, my name is Anna. I am interested in purchasing a 2013 FIAT500 pop, but in all of my research I have received mixed reviews in terms of the reliability of this little jellybean. I've come across a couple of people saying that it has electrical problems and occasionally things like the steering will go out or the engine will stall.
Has anyone experienced these problems? My boyfriend is wary to let me get this car because he is worried about these possible problems.

While this issues have occurred on some, it isn't all, and if you search the net you'll find issues with all cars. Unfortunately people will only report and moan when things go wrong.

If you're buying new you'll have a warrenty to iron out any issues, and if you have a good look on here you'll find all the information you may want to know regarding any issues (y)

Fiat have sold over 1 million 500s since 2007. They are a huge sales success worldwide. Sure there can be issues - but it's true for any make.
The car has so much character it's a delight to own and drive.

I love my 500 and give the chance to buy another car to replace the one I have now I would get another 500. It's great, the best car I have owned.

Get one, all cars have there problems and niggles that can be sorted or lived with.

All the cars I have owned have all had there little things that arnt just as they should be, but that's there individual characteristics. No two cars are the same.

Hi Anna,

My reply comes late to the party, but I've purchased my second 500 (first was a Pop, the new one is an ABARTH).

Reliability scoring is tricky (and can be misleading). The scores lump any warranty Studio visits in one group. So, a visit to replace a delaminating badge counts as much as a warranty visit for a sticking clutch. So, these require deeper diving to educate oneself prior to purchase.

I've never read or heard about wiring issues or the steering giving out. I'm in contact with a lot of owners. The engine stall, if it's the same 'issue' I recall was in very early builds. I've neither read nor heard anything about that in over a year.
