Question Rubber Mats

Anyone out there get the rubber mats for their 500?
I am getting the carpet ones with my car but fancied the rubber ones for the winter as easier to keep clean etc.
Do they cost the same as the carpet ones?
Any thoughts, opinions etc would be appreciated.

Got both in my 500. Put the rubber ones on top of the carpet ones. Let the rubber ones take all the wear n tear and dirt, and take them out for weekends, etc.!

Do they seem to be good quality?
The Honda ones I have for my current Civic are pants compared to the carpet ones.
Any idea of cost?

Re: Rubber Mats

Rubber ones aren't too 'pretty' and are a bit flimsy, but do the job. Cost about the same as the carpet ones (not sure, were a 'present').

How did you install your rubber mat in the driver's position?

My rubber mat (for that position) has a small hole and the little manual says that i should make a hole in my floor carpet and put the little plastic thingy (which has windings) into the hole. That little "something" is like a screw but made of plastic, but I'm not sure how will it stay fixed in the floor

Are your rubber mats the same? Mine are Fiat's originals ("500" is engraved on the top of the rubber).

I never use the fixings supplied for dealer supplied mats - they are well shaped/fitted anyway and tend to stay in place. Cut the velcro off the carpet mats too, it just rips at your carpet when you take the mats out.

I guess my rubber mats are originals. I'll check if there is a product number.

The product number of my rubber mats is 50901695. FIAT's website for UK have slightly different rubber mats listed in the accessories section and they have different product number. I guess it depends on the market. Maybe in Germany they sell the same rubber mats as here in Croatia.

You can see that kind of mats at fiatshop.com.

So, do buy the mats so we could solve the mistery of fitting the screw together
