Tinted back windows

Hi Guys what do you think about tinted windows on the back of the 500?
I wanted to order it when i placed my order but I have seen it on one 500 at the dealer and find it too light so I thought to let it be (and save myself 100), but now I got the car and i was thinking to fit it myself, with a nice dark film for the back windows.
The car is white i think it should look the business but what do you think?
Any idea is welcome.
Cheers
S.

Re: Tinted back windows

Personally I think it looks odd, its OK when you could tint all the windows but just the rears makes a car look disjointed... but its your car and if you like it then go for it. Thats what makes the 500 so good, all are a bit different.

Re: Tinted back windows

.. your car looks very crisp, clean and white - the black would be too much contrast. Agree with NP too - all round or not at all.

Re: Tinted back windows

I think it looks quite cool on my Sport, its not that dark, just lightly tinted, doesn't look chavvy at all

Re: Tinted back windows

No offence - they do suit the whole look of the Sport model, I like it

Thinking after market ones may not be as subtle, especially on a Lounge

Re: Tinted back windows

I quite like the factory tints on my Black Sport, but wouldn't be too sure on White, but please don't put your own darker ones on, tasteless IMHO

Re: Tinted back windows

Have to add that Exoticaholic's tints look ok , but his gone down the modern look route and more importantly, has a black car. Definitly wouldn't on a lighter(white) car though.

Re: Tinted back windows

White, that looks really good. What percentage of light do the fronts let through as they seem the same darkness as the rears from the pic. Are the rears the std sport Sundym privacy glass? I want to do mine the same but wondered if with the black stripe and the glass roof it might look to pimpish but having seen this I think it will look OK.

Re: Tinted back windows

Hey guys I didn't mean to offend anyone by saying it was chavlike, it's just that my work colleague got a new golf GT and as they are bringing out a brand new model soon they put in leather heated seats and tinted rear windows in as standard. I just thought it looked awful but the 500 tints I haven't seen, and they probably look great what do I know.

Re: Tinted back windows

I have the tinted backs on mine as its a sport, had not thought of doing the fronts, got to say that I like your fronts done in lighter than 'chav' black.

Nice, looks good.
