Is there anything particular people are using this for?

And does the velcro on the back of the service book folder have any particular purpose?

on the inside of your folder there's a detachable part you can stick to the outside of the folder, or vice versa depending how they gave it to you

I have the Fiat ipod kit and the ipod is meant to sit in this pocket - they give you a little bit of pad in the kit to stop it rattling round on the hard plastic.

This is so you can put the folder in the boot of the car, the velcro sticks to the side of the boot lining, it's quite a good idea seeing as there's limited space in the glove compartment

If you nip to one of the few remaining haberdashery shops you can buy self adhesive velcro, then you can also stick the wheel nut kit in the boot as well...mind, if you carry on with this it does meant that the weekly shop at sainsbury's has to sit on the back seat!!!

Sorry, could not resist.

If you have a look at the parcel shelf and run your hands along the upper edge, you will feel a cut out, which is actually a flimsy latch mechanism, hey presto the 'secret' compartment falls down. Just don't tell anybody!

so is it in the boot ?
i thought you were all on about the one under the dash,
my doc wallet is velcro'd under the passenger seat, the removeable bit fits in the "secret" compartment... i think... ill try it later..

Sorry for any confusion, I was referring to the parcel shelf ahead of the passenger seat.

I keep my spare wheel and jack in the 'secret compartment' in the boot. LOL
