Front mudflaps on 500

Can anyone throw any light on the reason Fiat have failed to design and develop front mudflaps for the new 500? I have seen the hideous rear one's fiited on a vehicle, and they are more like elephant ears! Plus car looks silly with no front's flaps. It's the front sills and underside that needs protection, they rear plastic bumper could live without them. Any techies out there who know if Panda front mudflaps would fit - or any other fit with similar profile of front wheel arch flange? thanks

The same happened with the new Panda, and yes the rears wee more like lorry ones However, a trip to Poland found they made there own front and rears of far better quality and looks than Fiats own, have you any Polish mates?

I have the mudflaps fitted to the rear but would have liked something a bit more in keeping with the 500. Perhaps there may be an aftermarket alternative soon. They only look like baby elephant ears though!

Ideally, I'd like some smaller colour-co-ordinated ones for front and back, athough I don't think I've ever seen red mud flaps. Do mud-flaps exist in colours other than black? or maybe coloured mudflaps are impractical.

There has been coloured ones in the past, or painted by bodyshop. Bit impractical as they can peel, scuff and discolour no matter how careful the owner is ! Stick with black maybe!

Let's hope someone comes up with them. I could live with the rears if they did front too. And yes baby elephant I agree !!

Just wondered if you would ever be able to get the name of the company making these mudflaps, as cannot trace anything yet with the 'Google'!

I got mine in 2004 for the Panda, from a main Fiat dealer! Cant remember the make, they were Polish after all, and got another set a year later from another dealer in Poland. Cost was around £10 for four.

Thanks for reply. I now understand that you got them for Panda not the new 500, so I guess it may be there are no front yet for Nuovo 500. Will have to wait and see, and hope by the winter something comes to light. Most grateful!

I bet there are fronts for the 500 in Poland, mudflaps are big there you know!

Apparently they're big here as well, somewhere between baby elephant and full size elephant ears in size.
