Re: Deciding whether to have a custom Graphic?

I think 'Bibi' looks great as she is, with the Tropicalia paintwork & chrome trim. IMHO I don't think it would look so tasteful with 'stick-on' trim. I have a 1.2 lounge, in Red with chrome mirrors/bonnet trim/Italian flag wing badges & think it looks really good.
I personally feel the only 500's that look good with stick-on trim are the Bossa Nova & Funk White colours, only my opinion though.
I really love the look of your pride & joy as it is now.

Don't do it Slimgimli..... your car is gorgeous as it is. Also, I believe that the tropicalia yellow is one of the rarer colours, so your car will be pretty unique anyway. People might also think your advertising for a cafe or hairdresser's called 'Bibi'. It's only my opinion though....

Lol!! Hadnt thought about that ......just wanted to try and make her a bit more individual thats all. After seeing everyone elses with the stripes etc was thinking she looked a bit ' plain' .But maybe plainer the better

Re: Deciding whether to have a custom Graphic?

I saw a post, either on this or the nf500 forum, where someone had their 500 with its name in small chrome lettering on the tailgate or rear bumper. I think it was their particular Fiat dealer who provided them with it. I might try and get a chrome' Bepe' for mine.

I've also seen a red 500, in Brighouse, with the side rubbing strips in white, to match the side stripes. Reckon he would have had the rubbing strips fitted post delivery though. Maybe having side rubbing strips in a contrasting colour to yellow....

Re: Deciding whether to have a custom Graphic?

have seen the chrome letters in halfords! side strips in a different colour is an idea......but what colour? Another idea I had was a side stripe similar to the Paul Smith logo wonder if they could do that as a side rubbing strip .........

Re: Deciding whether to have a custom Graphic?

.. Hey Slim, hows it going - I see you are still suffering from 500-itus??!!

I know you love Bibi and want to show her off -I think you could get that graphic made up, but on a smaller scale for the boot?

Re: Deciding whether to have a custom Graphic?

Nuova500Shop.com can do custom graphics apparently,( www.nuova500shop.com ).

I guess the black or the red side rubbing strips would be a good contrast to yellow.

Re: Deciding whether to have a custom Graphic?

Or yellow side rubbing strips, but instead of the '500' chrome logo insert, have 'Bibi' inserted in chrome. Maybe Nuova500shop could do it for you.

Re: Deciding whether to have a custom Graphic?

Yep!! still loving my 500!! Have hurt my back so cant give her a good clean this weekend Reason behind thinking of a graphic is I've been offered a free one in exchange to having Bibi templated for a graphics place near me! So have spent this weekend laid up trawling different car graphics etc lol. Dont want to spoil the look of Bibi tho and cant decide whether to have one or not and if I go with it want something different Maybe something a bit more subtle without Bibi on it would be better. Cant think straight at minute as havent slept for 2 days due to bloody back .

Re: Deciding whether to have a custom Graphic?

Saw one today with a massive 500 logo on each door, the side stripes, the bonnet stripes, the bonnet circle and a rear window clear sticker.....looked shocking

Your colours lovely, shows the shape of the body off well, if it was me I'd be very desrete with where and how big my bibi graphic was...not that my opinion counts for anything...just what I'd do

Re: Deciding whether to have a custom Graphic?

Thanks phoenix! I appreciate your opinion, wanted other peoples thoughts on it as its a big decision!! The 500 with all the decals on I think would be a demonstrator as they had those on the one I test drove

Re: Deciding whether to have a custom Graphic?

Hi Slim - bad news about the back.. get well soon or Bibi will think you are neglecting her!!

What a quandary - free graphics, but what to have???? In that case - the bolder the better, but Bibi's yellow is VERY bold anyway. A contrast would shout at you - red or black. I do like your mock up pattern in pale yellow though - very sixties?

I LOVE car graphics - they are not permanent and are a bit of fun. But if you can't think of anything don't fight it

Good luck

Re: Deciding whether to have a custom Graphic?

you may in a few years want to sell the car, and when you remove custom graphics the paint under them will be a diffrent shade to the rest of the car

Ah, so you are suggesting getting the vehicle wrapped then?
