Custom Decals For The 500

I'm thinking of a variation on the 500 Barcode decals, a small barcode, that if scanned would actually read 28 01 08 500 (the car was buily on 28th Jan 2008).

I think it's a subtle variation on the theme.

I think it's going to be on the LHS of the boot lid, from under the window down to the swage in the boot panel.

After much messing with sizes & codings I have come up with this.

Reads 28 01 08 500 when read with a code 128 barcode reader.

I'm finding this is the problem with the 500! Because we've all got time on our hands before delivery we are all looking at what we can add. So far I've sorted out chrome number plate surrounds, custom number plates (with 500 logo's) possibly private reg plate's and now this excellent idea with the bar code.
Just got to decide if I want the "A" bar on the front now......arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Is the A bar just a stick on flat plastic one, or a proper bar that sits away from the car?
I have a reg number in mind, not sure on that yet... Thursday should be order day if the Panda 1.2 is as good as I remember... been put off MJ by all the Panda guys saying it has loads of lag and only 55mpg

The Panda Mjet does have a fair bit of lag, but it's a very smooth engine and screams when you rev it! I think the 500 version is a bit better than the Panda's but still doesn't irradicate the low down lethargy... anyway, I thought the 1.2 was the only one you were considering?!

The A bar is indeed just a stick on thing, it will stick out a bit, say 1.5-2cm or so, so it's not completely flat.

I've got my reg sorted and I will get the Italia side badges. Will also look into getting the leather gearknob and the stainless steel sill plates. Maybe even some bigger wheels, but those will come later. I might even stick a little '5' decal on the bonnet or find somewhere else niffty to stick it

These Italian wing badges, on the site it says one... do you reckon it means one badge or one set, I mean its £30 which is expensive enough!

yeah, something just like that....just got to bite the bullet now with the reg number (still not sure?).
Have you thought about chrome number plate surrounds? I got mine from tescos direct!!

The badges come as a pair (or so I've been informed) still blooming expensive but a must!

thanks, ill get them myself, at least if I put them on wonky its my fault

Had them on the Cooper S (real one not BMW dross) they distorted after a while, although they wer epretty cheap & nasty to start with.
