I don't see enough pictures of Fiat 500's out on the road on this Forum. There are plenty from many of the more recent contributors which I always enjoy looking at and restoration progress is always interesting to see. But I don't remember ever seeing photos of the cars belonging to some of the more long-standing members.
It would be good to see recent images of your car if it is able to get out and about.

Ok not quite out in the wild, but the kids love it when I pick them up in little blue.
Today we had to do the food shopping too. So it was both schoolbags in the front boot, and three large shopping baskets in the front seat on the way home. It’s a tardis!

We have to remember I think most of Peters (Fiat500) posts are photo-shopped...
I simply cannot believe that all the beautiful places he post and makes us envious are all in Scotland....
I see no rain or midges in any of them...
I suspect next there will be one near Loch Ness... with some strange mythical creature poking out the water...

But I do love his pics and any showing a 500 out and about...
They make me want to move there....

I've Photoshopped the sunshine out of today's photos (that's what I mean by "recent"). ;)
I went up north to a place called Trantlemore, which is not far south of the very northern coast of Scotland. So the round trip was a touch under 240 miles, with the last 65 miles home driven in the dark down the busy A9.
The car still never fails to amaze me as it zooms along our Highland roads. I retraced our route along Glen Loth where I took a photo in the snow a couple of years ago.

The road surface is incredibly bad for a council-maintained highway. I'm not complaining as hardly anyone without a four-wheel drive vehicle uses it....except me :D but there is grass growing in the middle high enough to polish the underside of the sump, sheep graze and sleep on it and the surface is covered in their droppings, with regular potholes and whole swathes of tarmac slipping sideways in places.; but what fun to drive on.:)

As the sun went down it briefly peeped out from behind the clouds.:worship:

Some extremely interesting images of a beautifully presented Wee Beastie have come to light. This is Tom's the hobbler car, which, after me being a bit naughty and nagging him:D, he has permitted me to show.
I hope he will add to it by giving us the juicy details. I've seen a video of the engine and it looks and sounds as good as the rest of the car.(y)

I had the great pleasure of catching up with Tom and his car a few weeks ago, it is indeed an absolute beauty!

My car was used at my sister-in-law's wedding in September.

The bride arrived at the church in a vintage Rolls Royce, and I took the groom and best man to the church in my pride and joy.... I'm pretty sure we smiled a lot more!

Finally took some photos of Ming out in the country last week. Missed out on the summer because he wasn’t running properly, but now he’s an absolute hoot to drive!!

The original Italian plate was

Hence the name change ?

Was this at Silverstone classic? The poor marshall was going hopping mad as it had been 'abandoned' right in the middle of the road to the Lotus owners area, they all had to drive round the fiats to get in and out!.
Good to see its running now :)

? Yes he was. I was there pretty early, and thought it was in the right place - nobody said it wasn’t!! Even when the 500 club turned up.
Maybe the Marshall should have got to work a bit earlier.
They could have just pushed him out of the way as it was unlocked all day!
I was more bothered about it not bloody working after making a huge effort to get ready for the lap of the circuit. Whilst the 22 others were driving around I was sat fairly inconsolable in one of the stands :(
I spent another £700-800 ruling out parts as to why it wasn’t running properly, and it’s symptoms had everyone I asked pretty stumped. Turned out to be a pair of wires to the hall (crank) sensor that had been cut at some point, re-wired the wrong way round and then taped up in loom tape. Took 2 months to find it!!!
Anyway, sorry Lotus people, and Marshall, but I was elsewhere crying.... hehe.
Chris

it didn't matter in the end, we didn't want to move it just in case. You should have come back before the parade lap, lots of us took guests/ randoms out in the passenger seat, you could have got a lap in at least

Is that Andy Dunn's old car? (from Nantwich). I met him a couple of times when he was restoring the car---real nice garage to work in on the car, plus a 'parts and workshop' building. Tried to contact him , but with no success, when I heard that he had lost the garage and was having to sell the car
