As all tragics do, I was pottering around the car at 2am when I noticed something iffy.

Job 1 when I got Little Blue was to replace the terrible old fuel hoses, and fit with new hoses and clamps. Modern hoses are reinforced and thicker than the old clear tubes, and now where the fuel hose runs up to carb over the choke cable connector is quite a narrow space.

It looks like the washer on the choke cable connecter screw and the tip of the cable where it has been cut and curled around have been rubbing on the fuel hose every time I pull the choke. Literally a matter of 2-3mm, but the only solution I can see at this stage is to use a cable tie to lift the fuel hose up towards the air cooler hose. I could probably remove the washer and try to push the bent end of the cable down further, but no guarantee it will keep clear.

Just a little note I guess for those who've updated their fuel hoses, my assembly looks pretty standard so there may be others with hoses getting slowly worn away!

Yeah I went to check because I know the space is limited. But realized you have a different carb then mine 26IMB so I don't have that long bolt.

Anyhow I made sure to make the fuel line bend upward before turning down towards the filter + pump. Slightly longer tube should help with that.
