Yes, the trouble is that when you own an Alfa, you never have any time to do anything else but 'fettle' it.

I wonder if Italians were as good at swearing before Alfa Romeo's?

The only good use for an Alfa Romeo is to donate steel to repair a Foxtrot India Alpha Tango . Oh, wait a minute, they're not even any use for that!

Any classic red Alfa to accompany a classic pink Fiat 500 in my garage and I would be a happy girl. I wish.

I had an early Alfa spider - people commented that it even looked pretty on the back of a breakdown truck ( which was often....)

I've owned a 1970, Alfa 1750 GTV Bertone Coupe (Red) since 1991 and a Fiat 500F for a few months . I'm not sure how I ended up with 2 Italian cars, it just happened! The landlord of our local pub in Slapton now refers to us as "The Chillington Mafia" and table bookings are taken under this name.

The Alfa's fun to drive, but the narrow lanes with high banks and hedges in the area of Devon where I live restrict me using it's full performance. The spares availability for both cars is very good, but the prices are miles apart! A master cylinder for the Alfa is £415 and one for the Fiat is £15! Buying parts for the Fiat is a pleasure and I almost feel as if I'm treating a friend! With the Alfa it's a case of cursing and wondering how much it's going to cost!

may even throw in free delivery...

Judging by my friend who also owns an Alfa, I would have thought that you would be on a bulk discount anyway?
